Quality, Health, Saftey & Environment
A top priority for Atokan is the protection of all employees and contractors from injury in its operations. Atokan takes the time and effort to ensure that all procedures are in place and users follow them by having regular weekly meetings.
Special attention amongst other guidelines is given to:
- Correct operation of machinery
- Handling Heavy Equipment & Tools
- Protective clothing such as Safety glasses or goggles, Gloves, Boots and Hearing protection
- Lifting Procedures
- Heat & Cold related Ailments
It is
the
prime
responsibility
of all
supervisors
to
ensure
that
employees
are
required
and
trained
to wear
Protective
clothing
wherever
necessary.
Atokan Safety Principles

- No higher priority than the safety of our workforce; employees and contractors.
- Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility.
- All Injuries and Occupational Illnesses can be prevented.
Measures Taken by Atokan Drilling Technologies
- All incidents are reported and investigated including near misses (we believe that by fixing the small things we can prevent the bigger things happening)
- Incident investigation to discover root causes and follow-up to allow corrective/remedial action to be taken.
- Communication of incidents/safety statistics to all employees by posting information on notice boards where all employees can see them.
- Certifications of cranes and lifting equipment.
Health
- First-aid kits are always in adequate supply.
- At least one person trained in First-aid procedures available at our warehouses.
- Personnel will go through regular first-aid, H2S and saftey training.
Quality
All our oilfield products are compliant to API standards and all our manufacturers comply to ISO 9001:2000 quality standard. If there are any items that are defective we will gladly replace them at no extra cost.
